Donnell Rojas, 31, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for the possession of child pornography following an investigation that led to several troubling discoveries.
Rojas’ arrest came after police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding a Yahoo! account that belonged to him.
Prosecutors said that Rojas sent three emails attaching several files containing child sexual abuse materials to and from that same account, purportedly to himself.
In those files was imagery showcasing the “violent sexual abuse of prepubescent girls and boys,” including at least two GIF files that are part of the “widely known ‘Daisy’s Destruction’ series," they added.
In 2021, Rojas admitted during a search of his home that the Yahoo! account belonged to him, and during a subsequent search of nine of his devices, five were confirmed to contain violent child porn, including one hard drive containing folders labeled as “Taboo” and “Very Taboo.’
A third search of a Facebook account tied to Rojas also found that he distributed at least three images containing child sexual abuse to other social media users while questioning if one “had any kid videos.”
In addition to his prison term, the judge also ordered that Rojas pay $117,000 in restitution to his victims and he was ordered to serve a lifetime of supervised release when that term ends.
